INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone my name is Christine (Queen Chrissy-Shop-A-Lot) and I have been “redhatting” for over 3 years now. I have found that belonging to a Red Hat Chapter has provided me with social interaction within various parts of the community as well as a networking group that I can join in with when travelling away from home. It’s so nice to be able to contact other chapters and join in on one of their outings and exchange ideas as well as making new friendships.
I was encouraged to start my own chapter in the southern suburbs of the Illawarra and along with Saadia (Vice-Queen Lady Gadabout) have formed a new and exciting chapter of the Red Hat Society. We currently have 25 members consisting of several ‘Pink’ hatters (under 50) with the majority being ‘Red’ hatters (over 50).
Being part of a red hat chapter is so much fun and we have a varied amount of outings and activities which are currently held at least once per month. We try to organise our events on different days of the week, either during the day or late afternoon, school holidays and occasionally of a Saturday. This provides everyone with the opportunity of attending at least something....
I would like to see more ladies join us in friendship and celebrate the fact that Life Really Does Begin at 50!
